Red Flower
A series of three coats present metamorphosis and visual reduction of the flowering plant, Anthemis brachycarpa, which is endemic to Israel and at high risk of extinction.
In order to have a deep understanding of the reality in which we live, we need to pay attention to changes in our environment. At the heart of the project is a textile design action in the context of the “Red List”, which includes plants at risk of extinction in Israel.
The nylon developments were chosen as a platform for a design action located between the figurative and the abstract that constitutes a visual representation of the disappearing flower. A coat was chosen accordingly, as a practical and symbolic protective garment.
