TALENT! comes to New York Textile Month as an online platform to promote young new talent with world wide exposure.
TALENT! is an ongoing exhibition series featuring graduate works from the world’s leading art and design schools. Following the success of the three first editions in Eindhoven and Milan (2008–09)
This years pop-up exhibition features students from Parsons School of Design. The variety of textile talent showcased here is a comprehensive reflection of young textile creativity today and the world at large.
New York Textile Month is a New School initiative celebrating global textile creativity and innovation at events held throughout New York City during the month of September. The festival was established by Lidewij Edelkoort, Dean of Hybrid Design Studies at The New School and founder of a new Textiles MFA that started in 2018 at Parsons School of Design.
As part of NYTM and the Dorothy Waxman Prize there will be a Talking Textiles installation honoring the finalists from the Dorothy Waxman International Textile Design Prize. Supported by Mohawk Group
