The Newtro Cinema collection is about intergenerational communication through film. Today, the generation gap has widened. Through film, different generations can share ideas and memories and we can participate indirectly in experiences of the past. This fact inspired my theme. I hope that this leads to bonds being created between the generations.

I have explored how cinema and film can bond different generations and how this has changed since the appearance of digital film.

I aim to create fabrics for a new warm, comfortable home cinema which facilitates conversation within families or an open, unique open-air cinema where anyone can join in anytime to watch a film and foster a sociable atmosphere. I will create soft furnishing cushion covers, blankets etc.-- creating luxurious, touch-me fabrics to allow for a social experience with emotional textures.
